Buoyancy and Underwater Lift Bags & Salvage
The Canflex Heavy Duty Air Inflated Lift Bags consist of, but not limited to, Enclosed Style Lift Bag , Open Bottom Style Lift Bag , Tetrahedron Style Lift Bag and Pontoon Style Lift Bag . All lift bags have certified polyester lift straps treated with special coating to prevent against UV degradation and are made of high tenacity PVC coated polyester fabric (48 oz/yd2). These lift bags are all turnkey ready and collapsible for easy storage and economical transport. All are items of diving equipment consisting of a robust and air-tight bag with straps, which is used to lift heavy objects underwater by means of the bag’s buoyancy. The heavy object can either be moved horizontally underwater by the diver or sent unaccompanied to the surface. It is advisable to select a lift bag with an appropriate capacity for the task at hand. If the lift bag is grossly oversized a runaway or otherwise out of control ascent may result. Canflex underwater lift bags may also incorporate dump valves to allow the operator to control the bags buoyancy during ascent. If a single bag is insufficient, multiple bags may be used, and should be distributed to suit the load.
The Canflex Lift Bags are also used for supporting loads on the surface of the water. These lift bags are equipped with one positive venting relief/dump valve mounted in center of the top lift plate. This valve is spring loaded with spring pressure set to automatically open when over-pressured.
