Onion Self-Supporting Tanks
The “Onion Self-Supporting Tanks” are self-rising circular “onion” shaped reservoirs / bladders used for water storage, firefighting, and disaster relief efforts. The self-rising / floating collar is made of either closed cell foam or air filled.
Many heavy duty fabrics are available for the construction of these liquid storage tanks which can be used in different environments for bulk liquid storage and transportation. Problems with inadequate or unusable supplies of water are eliminated by the use of onion self-supporting portable water tanks. In remote areas, these tanks are designed for standby water containment, water shuttling situations, and provide a continuous portable water supply.
Complete systems including fluid transfer pumps, hoses and Helicopter Liftable fluid transfer containers are also available.
Some of the Open Top Tanks features are:
- Rapid emergency response
- Suitable for most environments and terrain
- Connections are 180 degrees apart, but can be located anywhere on the tank at the client’s request
- Fast response tanks that take just minutes to set up with limited personnel
- Material and all fittings are appropriate for either potable water or hydrocarbons
- Multiple 2” thru 6” connections can be placed anywhere on the tank providing the capability to discharge liquid quickly from any side of the tank
- Material and all fittings are appropriate for either potable water or hydrocarbons.
