Shackles
Shackles, including lifting shackles, rigging shackles, and bow shackles, are essential in lifting operations and static systems, serving as removable links to connect steel wire rope, chain, and other fittings. Screw pin shackles are ideal for nonpermanent applications, providing flexibility and ease of use. For long-term or permanent applications, or where the load may slide on the pin causing rotation, safety bolt and fixed nut shackles offer enhanced security. Chain or D shackles are predominantly used in one-leg systems, while anchor or bow shackles are better suited for multi-leg systems. Additionally, shackle rings and web sling shackles are commonly employed for their versatility in various rigging and lifting scenarios.
