The Canflex Model OB/DL Open Bottom Air Lift Bags are versatile and essential tools for underwater lifting, marine salvage, and deep-sea recovery operations. Designed with a parachute-style open bottom, these lift bags provide controlled ascent and precise lifting power for commercial and military applications.
Engineered for Deep-Water Lifting & Salvage

✔ Open Bottom Parachute Design – Allows for precise, controlled ascent with diver-controlled buoyancy adjustments.
✔ Manual Dump Valve – Equipped with a spring-loaded venting relief/dump valve that allows for diver-controlled ascent rate adjustment.
✔ Heavy-Duty Construction – Made from high-tenacity, PU-coated polyester fabric for maximum strength and durability.
✔ Convertible Use – Features a 146 mm threaded connector with an airtight cap, allowing the bag to be used as either an enclosed (TE/DLE) or open bottom (OB/DL) lift bag.
Capacities range from 1 to 50 Tonnes (1,000 to 50,000 kg).

The OB/DL lift bag is the most widely used underwater lift system in deep-sea salvage and military recovery efforts, ensuring safe and efficient lifting with maximum control.
Some of the Canflex Model OB/DLE lift bag features are:
- Made of high tenacity PVC coated polyester fabric (48 to 88 oz/y2)
- Large lift capacity in a small packing space
- Equipped with inverter line attachment point
- All seams are RF welded
- Appropriate shackle(s) and master links for a single lift / attachment point
- ½” or ¾” NPT fill port with inflation valves available
- Operational manual with certifications and log book
- Appropriate screw pin shackle(s) for a single lift point
- High flow relief/dump valve can be inverted and set to automatic dump position for totally enclosed TE/DLE lift bag
- ABS load / volume certificate/verification of capacity available
